Career & Technical Education

Mission:

The mission of Laredo ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE), in collaboration with business and community partnerships, is to provide all high and middle school students educational opportunities that will prepare the students for the demands of the evolving workforce, and with knowledge and skills required for employment. This endeavor is guided by a College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) program, providing college and career exploration along with competency-based instructions resulting in important life skills, certified occupational skills and meaningful employment and/or entrance into a higher education institution for advanced preparation.

Vision:

Career Technical Education Programs will engage every student in educational pathways and programs, promote internships and practicums where students will apply and hone their skills and knowledge, therefore allow students to turn their career dreams into meaningful careers choices through appropriate certifications and/or post-secondary degrees.
