The M.B. Lamar Middle School Mighty Lion Band Honors Winds continued its tradition of excellence, as they were selected the winner of "The Invited Program Spotlight Band" at the Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention in San Antonio. The Lamar Middle School Honors Winds was one of three musical groups performing at the TMEA’s annual conference. Lamar Middle School is the only middle school band program in the entire state selected for this honor.

Computer Science Week

Lamar Middle School – Students at Lamar Middle School recently enjoyed an exciting and hands-on Makerspace experience, thanks to a collaborative effort between Mrs. Visarra and Ms. Loranca. The dynamic duo teamed up to provide an innovative space where students explored creativity, problem-solving, and technology in engaging ways.

Art Meets Technology

Lamar Middle School students attend Courts in School

The Lamar Middle School gymnasium was transformed into a courtroom complete with judges, lawyers, bailiffs, and defendants in order to provide a real-world lesson for students. Lamar Middle School 8th graders participated in Judge Becky Palomo’s 341 District Court Courts in School Program.
