Over the past 2 weeks, our Lamar STEAM Club has been building and experimenting with Solar Robots, learning about renewable energy and engineering along the way.

The M.B. Lamar Middle School Mighty Lion Band Honors Winds continued its tradition of excellence, as they were selected the winner of "The Invited Program Spotlight Band" at the Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention in San Antonio. The Lamar Middle School Honors Winds was one of three musical groups performing at the TMEA’s annual conference. Lamar Middle School is the only middle school band program in the entire state selected for this honor.

It was officially Santa Hat Season in Lion Country! Lamar Middle School students wore Santa hats to show their Holidat spirit before the break!

Lamar Middle School – Students at Lamar Middle School recently enjoyed an exciting and hands-on Makerspace experience, thanks to a collaborative effort between Mrs. Visarra and Ms. Loranca. The dynamic duo teamed up to provide an innovative space where students explored creativity, problem-solving, and technology in engaging ways.

The Lamar Middle School Lions STEAM Club participated in an exciting Code-A-Thon, where our talented students impressed us with their coding skills!

Congratulations to our winners and all participants! After all the hard work, students celebrated their success with some well-deserved pizza!

Art meets technology! Ms. Garza and Ms. Visarra teamed up to give art students a unique experience, using Doodler pens to create letter maquettes with shapes while learning about sculpture.

Our young runners showcased their determination at the Dr. Sara Carrasco Cross Country Run on November 13, 2024! They gave it their all and made us proud with their incredible performances.

M.B. Lamar Prancers & Cheerleaders honored our Veterans of Laredo with true lion pride by participating in the 2024 Veteran's Parade. Thank you for your service!

The Lamar Middle School gymnasium was transformed into a courtroom complete with judges, lawyers, bailiffs, and defendants in order to provide a real-world lesson for students. Lamar Middle School 8th graders participated in Judge Becky Palomo’s 341 District Court Courts in School Program.
