Happy Secretary’s Day to Our Fabulous Front Office Team Today we’re sending a big Cougar-sized THANK YOU to the heart of our front office: Ms. Haynes, Mrs. Martinez, Mrs. Peña, and Mrs. Salazar. Although the calendar calls it Secretary’s Day, we know your roles go far beyond that title. You are the first smiles people see when they walk through our doors. You are the calm in the chaos, the fixers of emergencies, the voices on the other end of the line, and the glue that holds our busy school days together. From early mornings to late afternoons, you handle every task big or small with grace, kindness, and so much heart. Whether it’s comforting a nervous student, helping a parent find answers, supporting staff with endless requests, or juggling a dozen things at once, you do it all with a smile and a sense of calm that lifts everyone around you. You make D. D. Hachar feel like home We are so grateful for each of you and everything you do to keep our school running smoothly. Ms. Haynes, Mrs. Martinez, Mrs. Peña, and Mrs. Salazar... 📝 STAAR Testing Information for Cougar Families! 🐾 Our STAAR testing window is from Monday, April 8 to Friday, May 2. Please review the flyer for important reminders to help your child be fully prepared on testing days. Make sure Chromebooks are fully charged and labeled, and don’t forget a light jacket! Your child’s teacher will send home a note with their specific testing date. Our 3rd grade boys basketball team clinched a thrilling 8-5 overtime victory against Ryan last night! With this win, they lock in the #1 seed heading into the playoffs and finish the regular season with an outstanding 6-1 record. Way to go, boys! Let’s keep the momentum going—Go Cougars! 💙💛

Today, we kicked off National Library Week and Autism Awareness Month with a fun-filled Monday! 📚 Library Week: Our students started the day by reading under the big top while rocking their silly socks! It was a great way to celebrate the joy of reading in a circus-themed adventure. 🦸‍♂️ Autism Awareness Month: We also honored our superheroes for Superhero Day, reminding everyone that not all heroes wear capes. Today was all about celebrating strength, kindness, and inclusivity! Stay tuned for more special moments throughout the week!
