This morning, our wonderful science teachers, Ms. Deborah Laurel and Mr. Arturo Garcia, teamed up with our students for a hands-on campus beautification project! 🌱✨ Together, they transformed the front entrance by planting vibrant greenery and learning the importance of caring for our environment.
From preparing the soil to planting and watering, our students rolled up their sleeves and made our school a little greener—one plant at a time. 🧤🌿💧

Emir Gonzalez is a senior at Cigarroa High School with a strong academic record who is actively involved in extracurricular activities.
Gonzalez is a member of the school’s Basketball and Football teams. He is also involved in the Criminal Justice Club and outside of school he is actively involved with the U.S. Border Patrol Explorer Program. He has been awarded the LISD Triple A Award. He has attended seminars and camps to hone his leadership skills.
Gonzalez plans on attending Texas State University in San Marcos and hopes to get a degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice. His main goal is to become a Border Patrol Agent.
Emir volunteers his time with Relay for Life and Toro Winter Wonderland. He enjoys going to the park with his friends, and listening to music. Emir's favorite movies are “Grown Ups” and “All American,” and his favorite ice cream is Coconut Cream.
He attended Ruiz Elementary School, United South Middle School and Cigarroa Middle School. He is the son of Jesus and Maria Gonzalez.
