Milton Elementary School students participated in Mock Elections for President and selected candidates who are book characters. Students have been learning about the election process and read the books Duck for President and Clifford for President. Today, Election Day students were able to have their voices heard as they voted for who they think would make a better president. The students lined up one by one showed their ID, took their QR codes or ballots to the voting booth where they cast their votes electronically. After they voted each student received a “I Voted” sticker. When all ballots were counted and tallied, the final results had Clifford winning with 72 percent of the votes to Duck 28 percent.
ATTENTION:

This morning, Ligarde Elementary students stepped into the voting booth for a mock election, learning firsthand about civic responsibility and the power of their vote! 🗳️ Our future leaders in action!
