The Laredo ISD's annual Spelling Bee competition featured the best spellers from LISD's elementary and middle schools! For the third consecutive year, Christen Middle School sixth grade student Victoria Salazar won first place. Coming in second place was Alfredo Jose Vazquez, eighth grade student at Lamar Middle School. Winning the third place trophy was Tarver Elementary School third grade student Keyla Desiree Vazquez.

What an exciting weekend! All three LISD comprehensive high schools participated in the 2024 National Cheerleaders Association Competition (NCA) in Dallas, Texas. The cheer teams received the following recognitions:

The Laredo Independent School District’s Athletic Office announces the athletic schedule for LISD middle and high schools for Tuesday, January 16, and Wednesday, January 17.
All Tuesday games have been “tentatively” rescheduled to Wednesday, except for two boys’ soccer matches (they have been cancelled). Middle School Girls’ Basketball Games have been rescheduled from Wednesday to Saturday, January 20.
