Happy International Women's Day! Laredo ISD is honored to have incredible women district leaders who lead the way with heart, inspire change, support growth, and drive results. "This is a wonderful opportunity to not only recognize women leaders but to actually participate in growing leadership at every level. Laredo ISD is a very unique organization where we have gained the recognition of our peers by hiring women at different facets within our organization, including the first woman Police Chief and first woman Athletic Director, and women who are also very much engaged at the higher levels of leadership with the Superintendent. As a Superintendent, I also have that opportunity to not only inspire but support the growth of leadership of women at all levels, even in our Student Advisory Council where students represent their high schools. We have an opportunity to speak of leadership and how that leadership is something that all can experience and grow while also reminding them that their own leadership actually impacts the growth of others as they themselves interact with their peers," Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sylvia G. Rios said.
Congratulations to the newly inducted Cigarroa High School 2024 Toro Legends. Go Toros! Fight! Fight! Fight!
