This past week, 15 female GEAR UP students attended the UTRGV Coastal Studies Lab Tour and the GEAR UP "I Am" conference in South Padre Island, TX. The conference was organized to inspire young women to fearlessly pursue their dreams and career goals.
Cigarroa HS Registered Nurses performed 221 EKG screenings on our Athletes, Band, JROTC, Cheer and Dance students today! Special thank you to our CHS administration, athletic trainers, coaches, teachers, Health services team, and TAMIU and LC nursing students for their support.💙
Cigarroa High School students participated in a GearUp field trip and traveled to Edinburg,Texas. Students attended the "Inspirational Role Models in the Health Care Industry" symposium. 💙🏥

Cigarroa High School students participated in the 2023 Special Olympics Opening Ceremony. Students who are part of the Adaptive Physical Education program will engage in a three-day competition. Go Toros!!! 💙💙💙

Our Cigarroa High School art students participated in the LIFE Art Contest and won awards! Congratulations to Sammy Cabrera for placing 1st in Sculpture, Yeiling Guzman for placing 2nd in Drawing, Yalexa Martinez for placing 5th in Painting and Illiana Palomo for placing 7th in Digital Art.
